HVAC Service Technician Jobs description
An HVAC service technician job involves troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repairing of commercial/ industrial air conditioning and multi-zone heating and cooling systems. An HVAC service technician documents and tracks preventive maintenance according to guidelines, maintains environmental conditions by installing and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment; maintaining records. An HVAC service technician provides preventative maintenance, start ups and troubleshooting for a variety of commercial HVAC systems, meets with customers, evaluates their needs and makes recommendations and installs, maintains and repairs chiller equipment (all types) maintaining accurate and timely paperwork. An HVAC service technician creates preventative maintenance checklist for new equipment, maintains environmental conditions; organizes work; establishes environmental systems; tests and repairs environmental systems. An HVAC service technician provides support to junior HVAC techs.An HVAC service technician requires a high school diploma/GED, CFC certification or HVAC related journeymen license or equivalent industrial/commercial experience. An HVAC service technician must have the ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative in servicing customers and maintaining positive customer relations. An HVAC service technician should have great communication skills. An HVAC service technician must have strong knowledge of HVAC, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.
