Mechanical Design Engineer- Energy Efficiency- Needed ASAP!
Where: Beaverton, OR
Term: Contract to Hire
Pay: Up to $50K Salary DOE
2-5 years of experience in the design of HVAC systems, experience with building energy modeling and/or HVAC commissioning.
It is not required to be currently licensed as a PE in Oregon or Washington, but preferred. If not currently licensed, must be motivated to work toward that end, and be willing to take FE and/or PE exam in future.
Experience required in completing building wide energy surveys and models, conducting building commissioning tasks, completing permit and bid documents, specifications, energy code compliance forms, review of construction progress, reviewing contractor submittals, responding to contractor questions, coordination with electrical engineers and architects.
Must be able to meet with and work with others in a professional manner including other engineers, clients, code officials, etc.
Some experience in project management and marketing preferred, but not required as R&W will work with candidate in training and mentoring in these roles over time.
Independently conduct building energy surveys
modeling utilizing software such as Trace 700, eQuest and/or Excel
Fill lead or support role in design of HVAC systems including load calculations, equipment selection, ductwork design, gas pipe sizing, etc.
Leading or working with other team members in supporting the mechanical engineering, energy and/or commissioning design process.
Meeting with clients and others to coordinate project needs and requirements.
