EMCOR Government Services has an immediate need for a HVAC Mechanic in Boston, MA. The HVAC Technician will be responsible for performing HVAC installations, repair, operations and maintenance of equipment and controls located throughout building. Conducting routine and on-going assessments of the building system operations. Performing tests, rounds and analysis of data to assure the proper functioning of equipment. Monitoring operation of the mechanical, electrical and other operating equipment, and performing work according to manufacturing standards and following the change process of qualified core equipment and components.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance and repair, during the assigned shift, of all equipment and building systems.
Installs, services and repairs environment-control systems in an office building.
Performs assigned work orders according to schedule. Requests necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks.
Attends weekly toolbox safety meetings with Project Manager and co-workers.
Utilizes mandatory safety equipment to perform tasks. Specialized in HVAC troubleshooting and repair.
Estimates time and materials needed to complete repairs and works with the Project Manager so they can provide the client a written quote for additional service requests.
In a safe, efficient and professional manner the HVAC Mechanic will support the Project Manager/Chief Engineer in the preventative, corrective, and general maintenance for the client. Other duties include, but not limited to, daily assessments of systems, maintain a clean working environment, and other various duties as assigned by the Project Manager or Chief Engineer, while adhering to all safety and health standards.
Must have a Universal CFC license and a MA Refrigeration License
At least five years' HVAC experience
Must possess a valid driver’s license in good standing
Knowledge of Critical equipment preferred
Must have PC skills/computer knowledge
Must have EMS experience and knowledge of building operations
Knowledge of chemical treatment for closed and open loops.
