Kodiak Support Services, JV is seeking a Quality Control Manager
in Kodiak, AK. The Quality Control Manager assures consistent quality of services by developing and enforcing best management practices; validating processes; providing documentation and working with all stakeholders to obtain, implement and review desired outcomes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages the Quality Control program
Develop and maintain the final approved QC Inspection Manual and checklists. Scheduling management performed QC inspections on a monthly basis.
Serves as POC for resolution of customer complaints
Receive, process, and prepare the contractor's response, for the PM’s approval and signature, to any customer complaints.
Maintain contact with all units and activities served and the Contracting Officer to determine level of customer satisfaction, identify problem areas, and enhance contract performance.
Support the Project Manager in all matters relating to contract quality.
Maintains close liaison with the QAE relating to matters involving contract requirements.
Makes frequent visits to each functional area to stay abreast of all activities, ensures each activity is in full compliance with the terms and conditions of the contract and applicable military regulations.
Monitors each operation through inspections, performance and operational reports, and liaison with managers, supervisors, employees, and government staff members.
Ensures that fire, safety, and quality control plans are established and effectively maintained

Job Requirements :

Certifications:
HAZWOPR 40 Hour, OSHA 100, ICS 100, 200
Experience:
A minimum of two years experience managing a quality program within the past six years. Minimum of four years experience in a superintendence or higher position.
Education:
Associates Degree or Higher, preferably in Logistics, Management, Economics, or Business Administration is desired. Completion of Quality Control, TQM, or ISO 9002 course required.
Must be able to respond to calls for work outside of normal working hours
Must have a valid Alaska driver’s license
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of acceptable construction site practices including occupational safety and health regulations.
Ability to communicate both orally and writing with internal and external clients and co-workers.
Have a thorough and working knowledge of the plans and specifications or project scope of work and Quality Control requirements.
Must be able to clearly communicate (oral and written) in the English language
Must be able to work independently
Must have good documentation and organization skills.
Preferred:
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in HVAC or similar field
