RESPONSIBILITIES:

We currently have an opportunity for an Area Sales Manager to join our Ductless and VRF business. This position will be responsible for the design and execution of marketing and sales strategies, polices, and programs to achieve Ductless sales goals within the Northwest Region. The incumbent must live in the Northwest region, preferably within a two hour drive of San Francisco Bay area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for Residential Ductless product sales and growth

Develop and manage joint growth strategies with Distribution, Reps, DSOs, and CSGM to increase customer base, covert contractors and engineers, and increase market share

Support distribution, DSOs, and Reps to meet their sales targets

Train the sales channel on Ductless and marketing programs

Assist the sales channel to ensure satisfied customers

Identify product gaps, develop solutions to minimize the impact, and work with Product Management to prioritize and eliminate gaps

Assist the sales channel, service, and contractors to rapidly resolve issues

Examine marketing and sales statistics plus field conditions to identify opportunities and devise strategies for maximum growth and increased market share

Build consultative relationships and trust with distribution, DSOs, and Reps

Familiar with energy rebates and tax incentives within their Region

Provides strategic direction to the Region on projects and programs

Develops and implements short and long term sales strategies

Accountable for budget, staffing, and business/operational results

Accountable for managers and senior individual contributors directly reporting

Contributes to the company and the industry by advancing the level of Ductless knowledge within the contracting community

Recognized as a leading expert on Ductless Products within their Region

Qualification:

2 years sales experience working with and/or selling to distributors and proven ability to meet consumer and customer requirements

Minimum 2 years of sales experience in HVAC or related industry in professional positions with increasing responsibility

Proven history of rapid sales growth with satisfied customers

Knowledgeable about Ductless products (operation, design guidelines, accessories)

Thorough understanding of market place dynamics including industry trends and assessment of key competitors programs

Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to pull data from assorted sources and synthesis in both graphic and verbal format, so that it is easily understood by the target audience

Strong public speaking skills

Proven capacity to communicate professionally in written and verbal format across a wide audience

Advanced level skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)

Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities

Superior follow-up and follow-through skills

Education:

BA/BS degree with 4 years’ experience

MA/MS degree with 2 years’ experience
