Commercial Sales Manager
Our Commercial Sales Manager is responsible for generating HVAC system specifications by developing a consultative relationship with architects, mechanical engineers, and design build contractors. The ultimate goal of this role is to drive sales through specification, education, and relationship building.
Call on local architects, engineers and design-build professionals to educate them on the Commercial HVAC systems, Variable Refrigerant Flow systems, and other Commercial products and their applications sold by Gemaire.
Develops, tracks, and maintain direct and indirect relationships with Architects, Mechanical Engineers, Design-Build contractors/customers and other specifiers in the market.
Develops demand for Commercial products through project pipeline development and sales conversion of competitors' specifications with design-build contractors/customers.
Monitors project/customer development targets on a weekly basis; communicates bi-weekly results to sales leadership.
Enters and maintains sales data through Gemaire’s CRM system and/or pipeline tools.
Responsible for organizing and executing CEU training sessions, Lunch and Learns, and product knowledge presentations.
Coordinates with national accounts, strategic accounts, sales leadership and other sales team members to assist in expanding product opportunities within the sales territory.
Provides market and competitive intelligence to Gemaire sales leadership.
Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the industry, LEED certification, and Green issues
Become actively involved in industry associations.
Collaborate with the Regional Managers, Territory Managers, National Account Managers, and peers to develop strategies relating to Commercial influencers and decision makers.
Maintain a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape
Engage with clients in various work functions and social settings
Performs other related job duties as assigned.
Minimum 3-5 years of work experience within the HVAC industry.
Our ideal candidate will have 5 years of HVAC design and build experience; experience in HVAC systems and VRF products.
Ability to communicate effectively with the construction/mechanical engineering community to drive total company system specifications
Proven success in establishing and meeting project goals and timelines.
Strong interpersonal skills including sales, problem solving, and customer service are absolutely required.
Ability to analyze sales and market data.
Ability to give quality presentations.
Ability to work independently; meeting assigned goals and objectives in designated time frames.
Must possess the attitude of wanting to learn, teach and lead.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
Ability to travel as required.
