SUMMARY

Eagle Eye, LLC, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified HVAC Mechanic for Fort Sam Houston and Camp Bullis, Texas. The HVAC Mechanic is needed to provide general and preventative maintenance, repairs, and installation of various building HVAC equipment, components, and systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Generator Maintenance

Perform needed preventive maintenance, repairs, and replacement on the HVAC equipment. Equipment to include but not limited to: DX systems

water source heat pumps

roof top units

mini splits

gas space heaters

chillers

cooling towers

AHU

pumps

boilers

DDC controls

CRAC units

Assist HVAC III techs when needed

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications

Must be able to pass an extensive background check

Must have a valid driver’s license and transportation

Should own the hand tools needed to perform maintenance and repairs on the equipment

High school education or equivalent 

Must be able to pass drug screening and background check

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

Knowledge of basic HVAC systems

Good mechanical skills

Ability to lift and carry weights up to 75 lbs.

Ability to work with little supervision

Preferred

HVAC journeyman’s license

5 years’ experience

CFC certification ( )

Siemens DDC knowledge ( )

HVAC trade school certificate ( )

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

Job is performed inside mechanical rooms, in outdoor areas, in the overhead area of buildings, in basements and in attics. Must be able to work off of ladders.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No supervisory responsibilities.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
