HVAC Mechanic Jobs
An HVAC mechanic job involves installing, operating, maintaining, and repairing of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning equipment necessary for the building's operation service. Maintenance of HVAC, refrigeration, fume hood, controlled atmosphere boxes, exhaust fans, VAV systems, heating boilers, hot water, and reheat systems, pumps and motors repair of all equipment is part of the job. An HVAC mechanic inspects the repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent functional breakdowns requiring major overhaul of air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration systems and equipment, including low temperature cascade systems, and gas-fired heating equipment. An HVAC mechanic disassemble various equipments diagnosing trouble, replacing or repairing worn and faulty parts such as burners, baffles, pilots, governors, floats, strainers, pumps and thermocouples.
An HVAC mechanic requires a bachelor’s degree and minimum two years experience in a relevant job. An HVAC mechanic should have skills to schedule and plan the days in accordance to service calls, priority location. An HVAC mechanic should have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
