HVAC R Jobs
An HVAC R job involves installing, servicing, and repairing heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems in both residences and commercial establishments. An HVAC R person follows blueprints or other specifications to install repair and maintain all types of heating, air conditioning, furnace heating equipment for oil, gas, electric, solid-fuel, and multiple-fuel heating systems. An HVAC R person carries out inventory control – replenishment, stocking cycle, counting, physical inventory, and all other duties as assigned. An HVAC R person maintains, diagnoses, and corrects problems throughout the entire system, adjusts system controls to recommend settings, and tests the performance of the entire system using special tools and test equipment. An HVAC R person improves performance of HVAC equipments.
An HVAC R professional should hold a diploma in a related course and have some years of HVAC-R experience. An HVAC R person must have knowledge of practices, methods and equipment used in the repair and maintenance of air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration equipment. An HVAC R person must be physically fit and able to perform a variety of HVAC/R related tasks in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments.
