HVAC Estimator Jobs
An HVAC estimator job involves plumbing and electrical estimate including labor, materials and subcontractors required to complete minor and major repairs and equipment replacement. An HVAC estimator negotiates and purchases materials from suppliers, process and maintain purchase orders, process verbal or written job scope from technicians and prepare estimate. An HVAC estimator constructs take offs bids and estimates of assigned projects, coordinates support activities, and maintains relationships with all parties involved in projects. An HVAC estimator analyzes, compares, and interprets detailed but sometimes poorly defined information and is able to make sound and accurate judgments based on this information to assist in preparation of change orders in close coordination with project management. An HVAC estimator assumes management of small commercial and industrial projects and fast track works.
An HVAC estimator requires a degree and 5 years of experience in HVAC estimating working on large scale projects in CA. An HVAC estimator should have experience managing and breaking new accounts. An HVAC estimator should have in-depth knowledge of a wide variety of HVAC equipment, materials, and methods of installation and strong organizational and leadership skills. An HVAC estimator should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and must be able to work independently as well as a part of the team.
