HVAC Designer Jobs
An HVAC designer’s job involves equipment layout, pipe and duct sizing and routing, flow schematic and HVAC designs development, and inter-discipline coordination and design of different commercial and institutional projects. An HVAC designer develops mechanical, electrical and structural design to develop HVAC physical layout drawings using airflow diagrams, and developing design model. An HVAC designer prepares and reviews such design deliverables independently as ductwork physical layout and equipment location drawings, conducting field walk downs and data gathering at client facilities. An HVAC designer plans and executes multiple project tasks supervising and mentoring designers. An HVAC designer designs HVAC and plumbing systems from concept to generation of punchiest with some supervision.
An HVAC designer requires knowledge of HVAC duct and mechanical piping (chilled and heating water) system design, interdisciplinary coordination, and AutoCAD. An HVAC designer should have 3 years’ experience in the layout of plumbing systems or the interest in learning to design plumbing systems. An HVAC designer needs to be a team player with good communication skills.
