HVAC Jobs
An HVAC job involves mounting, installing, fabricating, or connecting compressors, condensers, evaporators, motors, expansion and discharge values, motors, temperature and humidity controls, fans, control panels, switches, fuses, filters, gauges, ducts, piping, tubing, related components, and completing power connections. An HVAC professional tests and repairs environmental systems by operating the systems, identifying malfunctions, repairing or replacing sealants, parts, and components. An HVAC professional studies work orders, diagrams, specifications, drawings, and blueprints and gathers required materials. An HVAC professional issues equipment operating instructions; troubleshoots breakdowns; maintains supplies; performs preventive maintenance; and calls for repairs. An HVAC professional creates competitive, high quality and timely estimates and proposals, carries out cost/benefit analysis and effectively writes and presents proposals.
An HVAC professional requires a BA/BS degree preferable in HVAC or a related technical discipline and preferably some HVAC experience. An HVAC professional should have knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment maintenance, basic safety, documentation skills, conceptual skills, power tools, attention to detail, dependability and lifting. An HVAC professional must have demonstrated ability to influence the market at key levels.
