DDC Controller Jobs

A DDC controller job involves overseeing the installation and performing the commissioning, testing, checkout, start-up, and technical support across a wide range of electric/electronic, DDC control systems, HVAC, fire alarm and security systems in commercial/ industrial facilities. A DDC controller provides technical support to other technicians as needed, Interfaces with sales representatives, customers, contractors, vendors, engineers, estimators, project managers and other technicians. A DDC controller’s responsibilities include building automation systems startup and service, supervision of subcontracted installations, field-testing and hardware and software commissioning. A DDC controller’s duties also involve servicing existing accounts, performing preventative maintenance tasks, programming, commissioning, and service of microprocessor based temperature controls for HVAC systems.
A DDC controller requires a bachelor’s degree and HVAC, DDC, temperature controls, BMS, building automation, programmer and controls, control systems experience of at least two years. A DDC controller must possess excellent organizational skills including, but not limited to, the ability to handle multiple demands and assignments, the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently, and the ability to manage resource procurement and utilization.
