There are many HVAC jobs out there, but before you seek them out you will want to make sure that you are certified in HVAC. There are many establishments out there at which you can become certified, and certification will give you a better chance at finding a job. For instance you could go to graduate school, or you could obtain a degree in HVAC. There was a time when personal experience and self-learned knowledge would have sufficed, but now that little piece of paper is crucial, especially for jobs in HVAC.

After you are sure you have the qualifications and the experience, you will need to make sure that there are places in your area with HVAC jobs. You will find that HVAC is a profession that is needed everywhere regardless, but the job market is drying up. If you find that this is true in your area, then you will need to look through other channels for HVAC jobs.

The best way is to search the internet. There are many different career related websites that will be more than happy to allow you to post a resume. This is a great way to jump start your job search and you will find that there are quite a few employers that enjoy using the internet for this sort of thing. When you do this however, make sure you use a good resume. The important thing here is to convince any potential employer that you are definitely the one for the job. This can be tough sometimes, but if you can do it then you will be quite set.

Make sure that you list any prior experience you might have in HVAC jobs, as this will get your foot in the door with any new companies that you might be applying for. In addition to that, list any skills that you have, no matter how unimportant they seem to be. Knowing the company couldn't hurt either. Make sure you know if they have any stock options available, and what their long term plans are. Knowing the company will show that you have a definite interest in becoming a part of it.

If you are unable to locate any private jobs in HVAC you can always see if there are government or county jobs available. Of course most people start up their own HVAC jobs if they simply cannot find a place to work at, which is what you may end up doing. There are many people who will start up their own company, but as you probably know you need quite a bit of funding for this to happen. Regardless, many will find a way.

The last thing you need to know for now is that having connections is extremely important. What you will need to do is get to know people in HVAC jobs, preferably people with connections. By doing this you will assure yourself a position with a company, and of course you will be able to form your own connections once you get in.
